Lauritzen Gardens: 100 Bancroft Street; www.omahabotanicalgardens.org Beauty and tranquility are found in 100 acres of outdoor gardens including a rose garden, Victorian garden, children’s garden and an arboretum. Daily 9am-5pm; $7 adults, $3 ages 6-17, 5 & under are FREE.
Joslyn Art Museum: 2200 Dodge Street; www.joslyn.org One of the "10 Best Art Museums for Kids" in the nation (Child magazine). Permanent collections from antiquity to the present, with an emphasis on 19th- and 20th-century European and American art. Tues-Sat 10am-4pm; $7 adults, $4 ages 5-17, 4 & under are FREE. Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge: 705 Riverfront Dr. The longest pedestrian bridge to link two states, providing safe crossing over the Missouri River. Lights outline the deck, cables and pylons at night, a spectacular sight! The bridge is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is FREE.
